Tornado Scare

On Monday July 20th My mom, my brother Cameron, Steve, and I went to the movies to see Harry Potter. At then end of the movie the theater got really loud and we realized that it was hailing outside and the wind was howling! The next thing we knew, the movie stopped and an employee rushed into the theater and announce that there was a tornado warning and that we all needed to evacuate the theater and head into the bathrooms. From the sound of it I thought we were surley having a tornado. I made Steve call our sitter and get the kids into the basement! A bit of an overreaction, but from the sounds of things I was sure that the end was here!! It wasn't even raining out at our house when poor McKenna got all of our kids out of bed and made them hike down to the basement! (Sorry McKenna!) Needless to say, we didn't wait out the tornando warning before heading home.

When we got home, the weather wasn't too bad but then it hit at our house! It dumped and dumped! This picture didn't turn out because it was so dark, but it rained so much that the our street flooded. The water got so high it was above the wheel wells of our neighbors cars!! That is what I was trying to capture a picture of. It was crazy!! Every time my family comes from Nevada we get the craziest weather!

4th of July

The 4th of July was always such a big event at my house when I was growing up so when Independence Day drew near and we had no plans, I got so sad and real homesick. The Stangs and the Loveridges saved the day by coming over and entertaining us for the evening. Coralee did a great job decorating the house, Steve smoked ribs and a pork butt, we made smores, broke a pinata, did small fireworks at our house, and then drove up to the water tower to watch fire works all over the valley. It was quite an evening and we had so much fun!Break the Pinata!!Yummy Smores!!

Dress Up

Coralee is so much like me it makes me laugh! She loves to dress Landon up and I remember doing the same thing to Gavin and Tim!! Coralee and Landon came down stairs one day and boy did I get a kick out of Landon's outfit! They are so silly!

Steve told me a funny story that I feel is appropriate to share with this pictures. He was at work one day and he was sitting around with a bunch of co-workers and they somehow got on a strange topic of conversation. They were joking about how ugly the men would be as women. (Can't remember how they got on this!) But anyway, they are going around talking about how ugly each man would be as a woman and then they get to Steve and they say, "Actually you'd make a pretty woman!" Landon obviously takes after his dad!! That topic of conversation probably evolved from the fact that Steve loves to impersonate women for Halloween!!!
